Dr. Karen Zempolich is a gynecologic oncologist at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. After completing a residency at the University of Utah hospitals and clinics in Salt Lake City, she received specialized training in gynecologic oncology from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Zempolich’s focus is on complex pelvic and oncologic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and fertility-sparing treatment of early gynecologic cancers. In addition to teaching and performing research, she started an outreach program to provide state-of-the-art gynecologic oncology care to women in the region. She believes that all women have the right to access the highest standard of care for gynecologic cancers.
