Getting an ovarian cancer diagnosis can be really overwhelming.
“It’s a tough disease to find out that you have” Compass Oncology Physician’s Assistant Marisa Gholson told SurvivorNet. “You’re kind of launched into learning about treatment, people are talking about chemo and surgery and all sorts of stuff … but, I think that [taking] it one step at a time; there’s many things that we can do to help mitigate those fears and that anxiety.”
