David R. Raleigh, MD is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Radiation Oncology, Neurological Surgery, and Pathology at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he holds the Robert M. and Ruth L. Halperin Endowed Chair in Meningioma Research. UCSF Cancer Center+2UCSF Department of Radiation Oncology+2 He is also Principal Investigator of the UCSF Brain Tumor Center and Director of its Preclinical Therapeutics Core, leading translational work on central nervous system tumors in adults and children. Dr. Raleigh earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Molecular & Cell Biology and Cognitive Science from University of California, Berkeley, followed by an MD and PhD in molecular pathogenesis from the University of Chicago / Pritzker School of Medicine. UCSF Cancer Center+1 His residency in Radiation Oncology was completed at UCSF. He treats adult and pediatric brain-tumor patients, while his laboratory investigates developmental signaling, tumor heterogeneity and evolution, and novel therapeutic biomarkers using genomics, mouse genetics, cell biology and pharmacology.
