Jason Westin, MD is a Professor in the Department of Lymphoma and Myeloma at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also serves as the Director of the Lymphoma Clinical Research Program, the Executive Leader of the Lymphoma & Myeloma Service Line, and the Chief of Aggressive and Indolent Lymphoma. Dr. Westin’s research focuses on developing therapeutic strategies for lymphoma, his primary clinical interest being Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma. Dr. Westin designed and conducted the landmark Smart Start and Smart Stop trials of novel targeted agents combined with frontline chemotherapy in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Dr. Westin’s work has been published in leading journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology, Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell, JAMA, Science, and Blood.

Dr. Westin received his medical degree from University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Houston.
