Dr. Mona Robbins
Psychologist
UT Southwestern Medical Center
Dr. Mona Robbins is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry, and the licensed psychologist for the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Robbins received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Howard University, and a doctoral degree in clinical/community psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
Part of her work involves developing programs and improving access to psychological interventions for cancer patients. She provides behavioral evaluations, psychotherapy interventions, and treatment planning, with a focus on dynamics such as medication adherence, body image & self-esteem, cancer survivorship, and the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis.
