There’s relief in sharing your story after taking on cancer. A huge number of survivors have told us that. In Jenny Saldana’s case – she decided to make her story funny. Jenny is a comedian, so it makes sense that she would turn to humor in a dark time. She was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was just 34 years old. When she was on bed rest after undergoing breast reconstruction, she decided to start writing down her experience in play form. What resulted was her “dramedy.”
“There are a lot funny moments in it,” Jenny says. “But it’s about the struggle of finding your new normal when you go through something like this.”
