There’s a common misconception that only women can be affected by breast cancer. That’s not the case. And while it’s a small number compared to the incidence in women, every year in the United States about 2,550 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 480 men will die from it. The American Cancer Society also says breast cancer is about 100 times less common in white men than white women, and 70 times less common in black men than black women.
