Radio host Dan Bongino, 45, has shared a visual update following the removal of a tumor he initially thought was just a lipoma. The popular host has stayed super-active on social media, connecting with his fans, and continues to do his podcast as he battles possible lymphoma.
Bongino has been really open, sharing the news about his need for surgery to remove the lump. He’s also has spoken about how he has, in the past, had lipomas, or “fatty tumors,” and that they’ve always been benign.

Bongino got choked up discussing his medical news on a Fox broadcast. He went on to say of the tumor, “I didn’t think anything of it, so I went to get an MRI thinking it was a lipoma and when I rolled out of the machine, there is nothing worse than having a radiologist look at ya and I said, ‘It’s a lipoma, right?’ And he said ‘no, it is not a lipoma.’”
Recovery from Surgery
Keeping his fans informed, as they worry about his health, Bongino posted an update to his Instagram account after his surgery. We can see his scar bandaged up as he assures his fans that all will be okay.
The radio host wrote: “I’m out of surgery & I feel good. They removed the whole tumor from my neck. The bad news is, it looks like lymphoma. The good news is, there are treatment options. Either way, we’ll be okay.”
Fans showered him with support and love. One wrote:

“As a half-Italian, half-Irish German Englishman by the name of Dan Bongino. Always proud of Columbus Day….Happy Columbus Day to everyone out there,” and said with a chuckle, “Go visit your local Columbus statue.”
Bongino thanked his fans for showing him love as he underwent surgery for his tumor, and thus wasn’t able to promote his book.
“We had a stellar week last week,” Bongino said on-air today. Thank you again for [helping the sales of] my book. You guys and ladies out there are amazing. I did no PR obviously because of the medical procedure. You drove [the book] to number 3 on Amazon my new book Follow the Money. Thank you all, sincerely. It means the world to me. You’re such a great audience.”
