“A very important issue to remember…is that they are not FDA-controlled, which means that you don’t really know what you’re getting,” says Dr. Marleen Meyers, a medical oncologist and Director of the Cancer Survivorship Program at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center. Dr. Meyers recommends her patients focus on a healthy diet instead of relying on a capsule for their vitamins or nutritional needs.
