Breast Cancer
Speak Up if You Think Something is Wrong — An Important Message for #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
You know your body better than anyone else. If you know there’s something wrong with you, don’t accept a doctor telling you there isn’t. That’s breast cancer survivor Tiffany Dyba’s advice for somebody suspecting they may have cancer.
Tiffany was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was just 35 years old. “If it’s a case of breast cancer and you’re scheduling an appointment with your OB and you’re under 40, and they tell you to wait and see … don’t accept that,” Tiffany says. “Because they’re not you, and that would be time to find another doctor, in my opinion.”
When it comes to cancer, there’s no shame in advocating for what you need.
