Consuming too much can lead to weight gain and obesity, which is a big risk factor for cancer and other chronic diseases.
However, most doctors agree that for people who already have cancer, maintaining weight during treatment is the top priority. If that means consuming some sugary snacks to keep your weight up, so be it.
