Cowboy Max and his 'Happy Herd'
- New Mexico rancher Max Wade, 46, has become a hit on TikTok thanks to his cheerful personality and adorable goats.
- He's been speaking openly about his anxiety related to his prostate cancer diagnosis received in July.
- Wade has also recently experienced heart problems and had a pacemaker installed. His inspiring Tik Toks have helped him grow his followers and create a safe space for other cancer patients.
In 2020, COVID-19 restrictions prevented him from admitting visitors to his Galloping Goat Pumpkin Patch in New Mexico, causing a large loss in revenue. Shortly after, he turned to TikTok where he hosted daily morning live streams in an attempt to provide a sense of community to those stuck in their homes. He quickly gained a large international following thanks to the beautiful scenery of the southwest and his "Happy Herd" of farm animals (primarily his goats). Wade was able to use the morning live streams to create a thriving coffee business, Cowboy Max Coffee.
