“I thought I told y’all I’m not no victim,” writes model Slick Woods on an Instagram post less than 48 hours after alluding to needing chemotherapy. The model, 23, born Simone Marie Thompson, is known for her gap-toothed smile and slick, bald head, and a face of Rihanna’s Fenty line of fashion and beauty products.
Woods, who has over 900,000 followers on Instagram, received nearly 3,000 comments filled with prayers and support after posting a photograph of herself dancing with her tongue stuck out captioned, “How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it #atleastimalreadybald.”

Although Woods did not elaborate in the post as to why she needed chemo, the celebrity news site “The Shade Room” shared a post claiming an exclusive with Woods in which she said she had stage 3 melanoma.
“[Slick Woods] exclusively tells us that she is battling stage 3 melanoma cancer and that the cancer is spreading,” The Shade Room’s post reads. “She says she's currently fighting for her life.”
Woods, who often showcases her fearless, spunky personality on her Instagram page, followed up on that first chemo-related post with one of her one-year-old son, Saphir, making a funny face. The caption to the post reads, “stop treating me like a victim.”
The post also received thousands of comments in which followers expressed love and support. In yet another post, presumably responding to the second wave of comments, Woods emphasizes that she really does not want to be victimized.
