Support Through Cancer
If you’re going through cancer, it’s important to have supportive, loving people in your corner. Support networks can make the world of a difference when it comes to handling the emotions that may accompany a cancer diagnosis, such as shame, depression, or grief.
Kelly Sargent tells SurvivorNet about the support she found from group interactions with other survivors, saying, “I started going online not only to find information but also support groups and stories from survivors," says the 53-year-old ovarian cancer survivor.
