A Personal Note from Her Idol
Ogle’s friends at the station contacted the American Cancer Society, which sprang into action. It reached out to one of the organization’s supporters: Newton-John. They told Newton-John about Ogle’s house fire and Newton-John did the rest.
“TODAY,” Ogle continues on Facebook, “I was surprised with a NEW, and PERSONALIZED GREASE ALBUM SIGNED TO ME BY OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN!!!!???? My friends at American Cancer Society told her about the house fire… and she felt compelled to send me a new record. It's even better than the one I had before!!!!!!”
The reason: The autographed “Grease” album came with a personal note from Newton-John: "I was very sorry to hear of Abigail's house fire,” the entertainer and cancer awareness advocate writes. “I had heard what a fan she is of Grease.”
“I hope replacing her album in some small way will help as she recovers from that devastating loss,” Newton-John continued. “So from me and on behalf of my friends at the American Cancer Society of Oklahoma, please enjoy this gift from the heart."
